I was advised once by a book reviewer to never have anything in my story that a 30 second Google search would prove wrong. Also, for my current work in progress a military political Technothriller, I have an Air Force fighter pilot reading my flying scenes and an Army Special Forces veteran reading the manuscript. It’s amazing how generous people will be with their knowledge. I got great feedback from both.

Depending on the genre, getting the details right really matters. At least they shouldn’t be obviously wrong.
